If you didn't already know, we met through a dating app. How else could a girl in San Diego hope to meet a guy from East Hemet?

Rewind to Oct 2021

The month we started texting, then talking on the phone, then we had to meet. Yikes. (I had a girlfriend on speed-dial in case I needed an escape route.) I called her three hours later and she knew I was smitten with this guy, Jon.

We started taking everyday on the phone after that first three hour lunch meet-up and seeing each other every weekend.

It was a good way to begin and grow a relationship. We couldn't just hang out any ol' time because we lived too far apart. The time we did spend together was always the best. And I don't know if you know this about Jon, but he likes to talk on the phone. ;) And thank goodness for that: he wakes me every morning and tucks me in every night when we're not together and has since almost day one.

Two years later, on October 28, 2023 under the light of a full moon in the SoCal desert Jon proposed. And I, of course, said Yes!
